Our mission at the Happy Nurse Entrepreneur is to empower nurses to thrive both professionally and personally. We strive to create a community where nurses can come together to share knowledge, expertise, and support one another on their journey towards excellence in the nursing field. Our goal is to provide resources and tools to help nurses succeed in their careers while also promoting wellness and work-life balance. We are committed to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and lifelong learning among nurses, and we believe that by doing so, we can help elevate the nursing profession as a whole.

After years of working in various nursing roles, including bedside care, academics, corporate, and outpatient settings, I found myself constantly burning out and feeling disconnected from the values that drew me to nursing in the first place.  

The focus on profits and metrics, rather than patient care and compassion, left me feeling unfulfilled and even unethical at times. I knew I needed a change. So I took a leap of faith and started my own business, where I could be my own boss and prioritize my work-life balance.  

It's been over a year since I made that decision, and I haven't looked back. I've turned down good job offers because I value my freedom more than a paycheck. Being there for my family, to be present for all the big and small moments that make life meaningful, has been the greatest reward of all.  

I no longer come home completely drained and empty, with nothing left to give to those who matter most. Instead, I'm able to be fully present in my own life, and that's something I will always treasure.  

My mission is to empower other nurses to take control of their careers and become successful entrepreneurs. Nurses have unique skills and knowledge that can be applied to a wide range of businesses. I am committed to helping them leverage these strengths to create profitable and fulfilling careers.

After spending two decades in the healthcare profession, I have reinvented myself dozens of times as a nurse. I've been the Intensive Care Unit nurse, the administrative nurse, the remote nurse, and even the entrepreneurial nurse!

But it wasn't until I realized that my life as a Registered Nurse wasn't confined to the walls of a hospital that I truly unleashed my potential. In 2013, I embarked on my first entrepreneurial journey as a nurse consultant, working alongside legal professionals to leverage my hospital knowledge and advocate for justice.

Then, in 2020, amidst the global pandemic, I switched gears and started a non-profit organization, Sewing For Lives, with the help of two medical students. We rallied 10,000 volunteers in a matter of weeks to provide healthcare professionals with much-needed masks. My heart was full and my life was changed.

As nurses, we're resourceful, creative, and driven to serve others. I absolutely love hearing about fellow nurse entrepreneurs' dreams and watching them turn into reality. There's nothing like the feeling of seeing someone else succeed and sharing in their happiness.
